Doug Aitken
道格·艾特肯1968年生于美国加州雷东多海滩，现工作居住于洛杉矶。
过去的24年里，艾特肯进行了无与伦比的创作，对21世纪的经历持续调查，探索着对图像与叙事的感知。时空的错位混杂着梦幻般的特质。其作品通常采用沉浸式视频装置的形式：单通道视频被投影到建筑上，同时也以文字雕塑、建筑和声音作品及摄影为特色。
艾特肯的作品探索了在一个巨大的工业和环境变化时期，图像饱和及可用性与个人脆弱性之间的鸿沟。相比之下，作品呈现的环境保有一份敏感和冷静。
艾特肯是“FRONTIER ART PRIZE”的首任获奖者，这是一项新的当代艺术奖，旨在支持国际艺术家尝试大胆的项目，挑战知识和体验的界限，以重新想象人类的未来。他也是1999年威尼斯双年展“金狮奖”的获得者。
