Jim Hodges
Jim Hodges è nato nel 1957 a Spokane Washington; vive e lavora tra Milano e New York.
Noto per la sua profonda capacità di infondere emozioni negli oggetti di uso quotidiano, Hodges realizza opere delicate incentrate sulla temporalità, la vita e l'amore. Rifacendosi alla natura e al suo lessico, la pratica artistica di Hodges spazia dalle sue prime sculture murali alle ampie rappresentazioni di alberi rigogliosi, fino all'incorporazione di foglie dorate e mosaici a specchio negli anni 2000. Hodges trasforma materiali umili e semplici attraverso il suo tocco artistico, unendo nel processo disegno e scultura. Questi atti di trasformazione sono ricordi evocativi di desiderio e perdita, e contribuiscono alla costruzione di una nuova identità.
